Taiwan’s deeptech ecosystem and five Taiwanese deeptech companies, in partnership with ITRI

The Taiwan Session opens the afternoon of Day 1 of INPHO® Venture Summit 2026. Organised with ITRI, the Industrial Technology Research Institute, as part of the Taiwan–Europe Deeptech Partnership, it presents Taiwan’s deeptech ecosystem and the cooperation, co-investment and market opportunities it offers to European investors, corporates, startups and research organisations.

Five Taiwanese deeptech companies presented by ITRI, from semiconductor security to space-based maritime sensing. They meet European investors and corporates in Bordeaux through the INPHO curated one-to-one meetings.

Hardware security IP and chips that combine a physical unclonable function (PUF), giving each chip a unique identity, with post-quantum cryptography engines running the NIST algorithms in hardware.
Commercialisation, licensing revenue

CUBE, an on-premises AI system for confidential professional work. Local models on GPU edge hardware retrieve evidence, compare documents and prepare drafts for IP, legal and tax specialists, with data kept inside the customer environment.

Proprietary RF ICs and a patented phased-array architecture for satellite communication user terminals and AESA radar. Antenna chips and a phase-tuning calibration method raise production yield and cut calibration time and chip cost.

Space-ready RF sensing systems for maritime domain awareness. RF fingerprints, satellite and terrestrial communications and field validation keep track of a vessel’s identity when AIS is missing or unreliable.

Customised non-circular chainrings designed from each rider’s biomechanics and pedalling data. A patented algorithm turns power data into gear profiles, machined on automated CNC lines in 30 minutes.
